Comments: BCP-1 is a clonal lymphoma cell line isolated in 1995 by serial dilution of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from an HIV seronegative patient with body cavity based lymphoma (BCBL).
The BCP-1 cell line is positive for the Kaposi's sarcoma associated herpesvirus (KSHV, provisionally designated Human Herpes Virus-8 or HHV-8) genome at 150 copies/cell.
BCP-1 is negative for Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), HHV-6 and HHV-7.
Propagation: BCP-1細胞ATCC complete growth medium: The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated RPMI-1640 Medium, Catalog No. 30-2001. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 20%.

Subculturing: Protocol: Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 X 10(5) cells/ml.
